• Week 1: Shooting on a Manual Film Camera

  • Learn the basics of using a manual film camera.
  • Understand the exposure triangle and how it applies to film.
  • Hands-on practice with loading and shooting your first roll of Ilford HP5+.
  • You will have the opportunity to shoot one roll in class time & take a roll home to shoot throughout the week
    
    

• Week 2: Developing Your Film

  • Step-by-step guidance on developing your film.
  • Learn how to properly handle and process your negatives.
  • Tips for achieving the best results during development.
  • Guided tour through developing 1 roll then the teacher will step back and you dev the 2nd roll by yourself
    
    

• Week 3: Creating a Contact Sheet

  • Learn how to make a contact sheet from your developed film.
  • Understand the importance of contact sheets for evaluating your shots.
  • Hands-on practice in the darkroom to create your contact sheet.

• Week 4: Printing Your Photos

  • Discover the art of darkroom printing.
  • Learn techniques for making high-quality prints from your negatives.
  • Create your own black & white prints to take home.
