Photo Walk in The Dandenong Ranges: Discovering Sherbrooke Forest

Photo walk in The Dandenong Ranges.

Every first Sunday of the month, the photography community at Loop Art & Photo Space in Olinda gathers for an exciting photo walk, exploring some of the most beautiful spots in the Dandenongs.

On the first Sunday of every month, a good crew of friends and fellow camera nerds like myself head out for a short photo walk. This month we met at the Loop photography studio in Olinda and drove a short distance to Sherbrooke Forest, an absolute gem in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges.

Exploring Sherbrooke Forest

Our walk began with a short loop that included a visit to the enchanting Sherbrooke Falls. The trail was easy and casual, making it perfect for photographers of all levels. The entire walk took about an hour and a half, giving everyone plenty of time to find all the secrets the forest has to offer.

A Camera for Every Photographer

One of the best parts of our photo walks is the diversity of cameras our participants bring along. This month, we saw everything from small compact digital cameras to large format film cameras. It’s always inspiring to see how different photographers interpret the same scenery through their unique lenses.

Hosted by GorakPhoto

These walks are hosted by GorakPhoto, the head photographer at Loop. With years of experience and a deep love for photography, Gorak ensures that each walk is not only a chance to take great photos but also an opportunity to learn and grow as a photographer. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, these walks offer something valuable for everyone.
